Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What are tinted Low-E windows?

A.

Tinted low-emittance (Low-E) window coatings are microscopically thin, virtually invisible, metal or metallic oxide layers used to reduce radiative heat flow.  The Low-E coating reflects as much as 60% of solar heat, making a Low-E window six times more effective than a conventional window.
